How Do I … Find Out What My Prescription Will Cost? |
|
Have you checked out your insurance carrier’s (Coventry or CareFirst) drug formulary (preferred list) yet? Don’t forget to check it out when your doctor wants to write you a new prescription. You can find out what it’s going to cost under your plan before you get to the pharmacy and choose whether you can or will use generics (free) or pay the $25 or $50 for 30-days of a brand formulary, or brand, non-formulary, respectively. You can also print the formulary to take to your doctor to discuss your prescription needs.
