The summer edition of the active members’ newsletter, The Mentor, is available at http://www.sra.state.md.us/newsletters/Mentor_Summer_08.pdf. This newsletter contains information on transferring service, frequently asked questions on the Personal Statement of Benefits, and the regional counseling schedule for fiscal year 2009. Anyone who was an active member as of June 30, 2008 should have received a personal statement of benefits mailed to their home. If you were eligible but did not receive a statement, you may call a retirement benefits specialist at (410) 625-5555 or 1-800-492-5909. |

CCPS employees are again invited to show their community spirit when Union Hospital holds its 3rd Annual Race for the Ribbon 5K (3.1 miles) Fitness Run/Walk on October 11, 2008 at Fair Hill Face Track. Registration forms and sponsor sheets are available at http://www.uhcc.com by clicking the Race link, or on the CCPS Benefits website under “Wellness”. Print copies will also be available in your school and Benefits Offices. Last year CCPS represented 20% of the entire community participating! Also, Bo Manor Middle turned out in the highest numbers within the CCPS community last year—which school/location will earn top honors this year? To receive participation credit for your school (and lunch for your school participants), be sure to write CCPS and your school’s name in the Organization Name blank on your entry form. Completed entry forms w/$20 registration fee for each participant can be mailed to the UH address on the form or the Benefits Office. |
